Dubai International Airport Terminal Information

Introduction

The main terminal for international flights at Dubai International Airport is the Sheikh Rashid Terminal; Terminal 2 handles charter and executive flights. There are two information booths on the Departures level of the main concourse, one opposite the food court and one opposite Gate 19.

Shiekh Rashid Terminal - commonly known as the 'Concourse' - houses the main Dubai Duty Free, foodcourt, banking, business and internet facilities, children's entertainment, medical care and special needs services, an airport hotel, postal services, lounges, and more.

In the Departures hall there are 221 check-in desks. A special baggage reconciliation system tracks each piece of luggage and stores information about its location. Lockers for hand luggage are available near the Dubai Duty Free shopping area. Postal services, open 24 hours a day, are located near Gate 18.

A fully equipped medical centre is located on the ground level of the Concourse, next to Dubai Duty Free at the western end. Access from the Departures level is near Gate 13. A children's play area and mothers' lounge is between Gates 12 and 14. Dedicated desks for special needs passengers are located between rows A and B of the Departures hall and special lounges near Gates 9 and 22.

The business centre, near Gate 16, doubles as an internet café with six ISDN lines and secretarial services. Business facilities are also available in the Dubai International Hotel. The currency exchanges are located near Gates 8, 18 and 22 and are open 24 hours a day.

Dubai International Airport is non-smoking; however, smoking rooms fitted with special ventilating systems are provided. Prayer rooms are found within the concourse and in the Arrivals area.
